Annabelle Copeland is excited about the new school year. She wants to be the very best at everything she sets out to accomplish. Mrs. Mitchell, her third grade teacher, gives their class an apple research project to work on in class with small groups of classmates.
To her surprise, Annabelle is, teamed up with Sally who has been mean to her in the past and has teased her endlessly. Although Annabelle tries to step up to the challenge, Sally makes her uneasy and frustrated in the group. After the first day of working together, Annabelle goes home in defeat, in need of some refueling.
That evening, Annabelle's mom gives her a pep talk and some well needed wisdom. Annabelle returns to school the next day with newfound confidence to deal with the unpleasant situation. She puts into action "Operation Kindness" and the results are... well... amazing!
This book teaches kids how to not let unpleasant circumstances at school stop them from doing and being their very best.
Linda Taylor has been teaching students for over 25 years. She enjoys connecting with students on many levels. She also loves writing poetry. Linda lives on Long Island, New York.
Kyle Horne has a B.A. in Visual Communications from S.U.N.Y. Old Westbury College in New York. Kyle has, displayed his artwork in many local libraries. He lives on Long Island.
